March 27, 1997 – – – Carolyn Kinder, Inc. is announcing a new license association with The Uttermost Company. The first result is the Market launch of a new collection of wall art. The imagery will use the latest evolution of fine hand pulled intaglios, gold leafing and embossing from the Kinder Studio in Florida; all pieces hand crafted and signed. The framing is selected from Uttermost’s broad range of hand finished frames; both imported and domestic, from heavy carved baroques with European rustic ivory crackle to delicate gilded antiqued iron with hand welded corner detailing.
The look is consistent – classic, trendless, timeless. What’s new is the fiercely competitive price points; the specialty of Uttermost. This will be the first time that these design philosophies will be translated thru a manufacturer known for excellent quality and aggressive value pricing.
Although this primary collection will feature handmade art, Carolyn Kinder will also work with the design team at Uttermost to increase the growth of their standard product offering using subjects now popular across the industry. New frame and matting presentation techniques, European publishers new to the U.S., and an entirely new approach to plaques are in the works now for introduction starting with April, but escalating steadily through the rest of the year.
